TAG Heuer Wrist Watches An Iconic Company

Tag Heuer is one of the most respected and well known makers of luxury watches. It has been at the forefront of watchmakers since the mid 1800’s. Tag Heuer is a division of LVMH a luxury goods company. Tag Heuer is a Swiss Luxury watchmaker of sports watches and chronographs founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer.

Edouard Heuer patented the first chronograph in 1882 and his first wristwatch in 1914. In 1916 Heuer introduced the micrograph; it was the first stopwatch to have accuracy to the 1/100th of a second. In 1932 Heuer created the Autavia, a dashboard timer to be used in automobiles and aviation aircraft. He later introduced chronographs for pilots and the triple chronograph. In 1950 Heuer created a watch for Abercrombie and Fitch, the Seafarer which could track the moon and the Autograph.
